About CPR And First Aid Course
This course is about caring for others, and helps not only for scuba diving, but is very useful for outside the diving industry. Although many divers enroll, so that they can take the PADI Rescue Diver course, this course gives you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies.
During this course you will learn about the primary and secondary care of a patients life line. BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level, AED (automated external defibrillator), preventing and caring for shock, spinal injury management, use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk, basic first aid and first aid kit considerations.
Schedule
- 8.30am – Meet at Diverse Borneo shop for registration
- 9.00am – review knowledge development
- 10.00am – Start DVD and skill development, with scenario practice for primary care
- 12.00pm - lunch break with class and instructor
- 1.00pm – continue with DVD, skill development and scenario practice for primary care and then start secondary care DVD and skill development
- 5.00pm – final exam and then certification
