About PADI Scuba Diver Course

The Padi Scuba Diver Course is considered the basic entry level diver course.
The PADI Scuba Diver Qualification is earned by completing some of the PADI Open Water Diver Course.

This course is a pre-entry level certification and qualifies you to:

Dive to a maximum of 12 meters diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional while applying the knowledge and skills that you learned during the course. Gain confidence and more dive time before upgrading into the PADI Open Water Diver Course.

Schedule

Day One
  • 9.00am - Meet at Diverse Borneo Shop and start registration
  • 9.30am - Knowledge review section one and watch section one on DVD
  • 11.00am - Knowledge review section two and watch section two on DVD
  • 12.30am - lunch break with class and instructor
  • 13.30am - Knowledge review section three and watch section three on DVD
  • 15.00 - Quizzes one to three
  • 16.00 - Equipment assembly and dissemble
  • 17.00 - Class ends
Day Two
  • 8.30am - Meet at Jessleton Point Jetty
  • 9.00am – After reaching the islands, start confined open water dive one and open water dive one
  • 10.30am - Confined water dive two and three
  • 12.00pm - Lunch at the island
  • 2.00pm - Open water dive two
  • 3.30pm - Arrive back to Jessleton Point Jetty and then certification
Duration

This course is completed over a minimum of a two day period with one day spent learning the diving theory, whilst the other day is based out at the sea learning how to dive.

Pre Requisites

PADI Scuba Divers need to be:
  • Physically fit
  • Complete a diver medical
  • Sign all liability release forms
  • Complete a 200 meter swimming test
  • A 10 minute survival float
  • The minimum age for scuba certifications is 10 years for the Junior Scuba Diver.
