About PADI MSDT

PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) course at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park offers a wide range of specialty instructor training courses that are beneficial to every PADI diver. Most Divers require to develop further skills and knowledge in areas outside the general route to PADI Divemaster such as Deep Diving, Navigation skills Search and Recovery and Nitrox diving.

Diverse Borneo and PADI Course Director Mark Hedger offer most of the PADI Specialty Instructor training courses that we are able to teach in our local environment, the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.

The Padi Msdt program offers five (5) specialty instructor courses of your choice so that you have a wider range to gain 25 certifications before final certification. Diverse Borneo offer two Padi Msdt programs being one with just the specialty courses and the other with the specialty courses and 25 certifications.

Schedule

Duration

The Padi Msdt Specialty courses will each have classroom presentations and open water training dives with the PADI Course Director offering tips, techniques and lots of insight hints on how to teach these courses. Depending on which courses you choose will depend on how many days are needed, but generally at least 5 - 10 days.

Option 1

5 - 10 days with the PADI Course Director developing your skills and knowledge in the specific specialty area.

Option 2

This will begin with the specialty instructor training and then yourself teaching 25 students of all levels so that you are able to obtain Padi Msdt status. One of Diverse Borneo's PADI Instructors will follow along offering critical support if needed whilst teaching these courses. This can be achieved in around one month

Prerequisites

PADI MSDT Need To Be:
  • A PADI Instructor
  • Have Five PADI Specialty Instructor ratings (you will take these with our PADI Course Director)
  • Certified 25 PADI Divers (you will certify 25 divers with Diverse Borneo as long as you opt for this option)
  • No more than five certifications from courses without dives and No more than five certifications from PADI Seal Team or Master Seal Team registrations.
Specialty Instructor Requirements

You must have proof of at least 10 dives in each area logged which will be verified by our PADI Course Director, and if opting for the Enriched Air Specialty Instructor you must have the diver specialty first which you are able to take with Diverse Borneo.
