Discover Scuba Diving DSD is one-day basic program to try diving. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? Or, is this is the first time you do scuba diving? Then, no worries because Discover Scuba Diving DSD is here for you. The Discover Scuba Diving DSD is for non scuba divers or simply someone who never wear proper scuba diving equipment’s to go diving before.
Discover Scuba Diving is also called as resort diving or ‘leisure diving’ for non certified divers with a close and direct supervision of a qualified instructor. Discover scuba diving DSD course designed to be an ‘experience’ personal program only.
No certification will be issued after the completion of a Discover Scuba Diving DSD course completion. But, if you choose to take Discover Scuba Diving DSD program you will get intensive knowledge about scuba diving basics and you will get a personal experience of being underwater with someone you trust – the instructor.

If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Kota Kinabalu then Diverse Borneo introduces non scuba divers or first timers to the underwater world with PADI Discover Scuba Diving DSD in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP) to a depth no greater than 12 meters with our professional team of PADI instructors teaching you how to breathe underwater for the first time and then venturing out to open water on one of our custom designed scuba diving boats.
Discover Scuba Diving DSD To PADI Open Water Diver Course
Scuba diving in Kota Kinabalu gives you the biggest buzz of your life, and it’s here where you will be forever blowing bubbles. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll never want to get out the water. If you enjoy it so much, which you probably will, you can get credit. This means you can use Discover Scuba Diving DSD course towards your PADI Open Water Diver Course certification. After finishing Open Water Diver Course, you will get a scuba diving license with your own name and picture on it!
Diverse Borneo’s PADI diving courses follows the standards set by PADI for Discover Scuba Diving module which consists of a maximum dive depth of 12 meters, with a PADI instructor teaching no more than four students in a group. Discover Scuba Diving DSD Schedule
- 8.30am – Meet at Jesselton Point Jetty for registration.
- 9.00am – After reaching the islands, start the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Briefing.
- 9.45am – Safety exercises and Dive one from the beach.
- 11.45am – Lunch at the island and free at leisure.
- 2.30pm – Dive two from the boat.
- 4.00pm – Arrive back to Jessleton Point Jetty.
