PADI Dive Courses image

The PADI adventure diver course helps you get more out of diving by introducing you to new types of scuba diving adventures. It’s a great opportunity to work with your instructor to build your scuba diving skills and gain more confidence in dive safety. You can take this course straight after the PADI open water diver course to become a more confident diver and experience new dives. The dives could include, boat diver, digital underwater photography, fish identification, peak performance buoyancy, underwater naturalist, underwater navigator course, and search and recovery course.

The Advanced Open Water Course allows PADI Open Water Diver course students (PADI certified or equivalent from another diving organization) to enroll and get certified, explore reefs to depths of 30 meters. This course consists of five scuba dives, two of dives must be the first dive of the PADI Deep Diver course and Underwater Navigator course. Three more dives are chosen to suit both the diver and the current diving conditions. Dives can be chosen from the PADI Specialty dive courses first dives, AWARE-fish identification, boat diving, PADI deep diver, diver propulsion vehicle, multilevel diver course, PADI night diver course, peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery course, underwater Digital photography course, underwater naturalist, underwater videography, and PADI wreck diver.

Sabah has two main rivers for rafting, the Padas and Kiulu rivers which are certified as Grade 3 and Grade 2 respectively in the international white water rafting grading system. Under normal weather conditions the two rivers are relatively constant in depth and speed. However, heavy rains can cause them to swell into Grade 4 rivers. During this time rafting activities may be called off temporarily. Successful rafters at Padas will be presented with a certificate of accomplishment upon finishing their adventures.

Another place to visit is the Taman Kerangas or The Heath Forest, it is meant to be the reserved protection of orchids. In the forest you will find both in-situ and ex-situ plants. This means some plants were growing originally in the forest and others are from other areas which has been transported to the forest after being rescue from the logging which is still active till now. The Taman Kerangas is very close to the village about 5 minutes from the main entrance, so if your not into extreme jungle trekking like the Ruab Maga or hill climbing like Bukit Rimau or even the long journey of Matang river then Taman Kerangas is your choice.

Ruab Maga or Maga Fall is an another fascinating place to go when your in Long Pasia. Journey will take about 6 hours jungle trekking from the village, where along the way you will encounter historical sites, huge agathis tress and colorful orchids grow wildly in the forest, as slowly you approaching the campsite the mighty Maga Fall can be heard roaring. this is a heavenly place to be, except to get to this place some obstacle have to be challenge mentally and physically. Once in Ruab Maga you will be spending the whole afternoon tour around the sites, one which is the Flower Garden situated only 5 minutes behind the campsites. be careful when walking around this garden because you might step on the orchids When night falls you will be overnight in small but comfortable hut which was built by the local people of long Pasia. Remember to bring extra clothing because temperature can reach below 18 degree, this is a place that you should not miss when your planning to stay a night or two ...
